It’s particularly helpful when you reward yourself for achieving your interim goals. You are structured in a way that you’re more likely to repeat certain behaviors when there’s a reward involved. Keep yourself ‘on track’ and notice clearly that you’ve come a bit closer to your goal. For instance, you can reward yourself if you were able to save some money through your income and expense overview, with a small purchase that you’ve always wanted – but somehow always lacked the money for.
